Air pollutant emissions

Sources of air pollutant emissions may be manufacturing processes and/or fuel combustion processes for obtaining thermal energy/electrical power.
Obligations of measurements are stipulated by the Air Protection Act (Official Gazette 130/11), Regulation of monitoring emissions of pollutants into the air from stationary sources (Official Gazette 01/06) and the Decree on limit values for emissions of pollutants into the air from stationary sources (Official Gazette 21/07, 150/08).

C.I.A.K. can do following:

• Arrange performing measurements of discharged pollutants into the air with a legal entity holding a license or an approval issued by the Ministry of Environmental and Nature Protection;
• Prepare and consolidate the data on measurement results and report it to the Registry of Environmental Pollution;
• Prepare the report on performed measurements prior to 31 March in the current year for the previous calendar year and submit such report to the Environmental Protection Agency;
• Prepare the notice for the Ministry of Environmental and Nature Protection prior to 1 March in the current year on the obligation of frequency of measurements for the previous year.

Ozone depleting substances

Cooling and air-conditioning devices contain ozone depleting substances, or (controlled substances) fluorinated greenhouse gases that lead to global warming. If you engage in servicing cooling and air-conditioning devices, you are subject to the provisions of the Decree on Ozone Depleting Substances (Official Gazette 120/05).

We can do:

• Define your obligations according to the Decree
• Establish and assist in keeping the record of used quantities of substances on the  KT 6 form and submit it to the Environmental Protection Agency for inspection prior to 31 January in the current year for the previous year;
• Establish the system of protocols for every cooling and air-conditioning device found empty or without refrigerants on the KTZ 1 form;
• The waste substances are to be received by the Center for Collection, Recycling and Reuse of Controlled Substances  and fluorinated greenhouse gases - site Gubaševo 47C, Zabok

Volatile organic compounds

Volatile organic compounds(VOS) are components of certain paints, varnishes and organic solvents. Limit values for release of volatile organic compounds, the obligations of keeping records and submitting reports are stipulated by the Decree on limit values for emissions of pollutants into the air from stationary sources (Official Gazette 21/07, 150/08).

We can offer to:

• Calculate and define the obligation in respect to reporting the plant where the products containing volatile organic compounds are used to the Registry of plants where the organic solvents or products containing volatile organic compounds are used on the  REGVOC form which is to be submitted to the Ministry of Environmental and Nature Protection;
• Establish a registry to include the monthly data required for the development of the EHOS form (the registry is not regulated by a special form);
• Develop the annual balance of organic solvents for the previous year prior to 31 January of the current year;
• Develop an annual report on emissions of volatile organic compounds that is submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency prior to 31 March in the current year for the  previous year on the EHOS form*. If prescribed limits of solvent consumption are not exceeded, after the delivery of the first report on the EHOS form, there is no need for development of further annual reports on emissions of volatile organic compounds and there is no need to provide the Agency with a completed EHOS form;
